I am a self-taught multidisciplinary artist focused on California Realism.

My paintings and assemblages have shown at several California museums and galleries, including the Sausalito Center for the Arts, De Young Museum, Triton Museum of Art, and the Museum of Northern California Art.
In my painting practice, I am focused mostly on portraying people and places that strike me as beautiful. I work on at least one or two series at a time, pausing to do spontaneous paintings of things that move me in the moment.
While I am primarily a painter I am also well known for my drawings, etchings, and most recently, assemblage works, in which I use found materials to create beauty from refuse (such as car window glass and traffic cones).
My foundation comes from a lifelong drawing practice. I’ve learned that if I can nail the composition and perspective of a piece, the rest is all play, light, and magic. To that end I’ll often do studies, then sketches, then draw an outline, and then paint. This process takes a bit more time, but I enjoy the build up; the falling in love with each piece that happens over time.
My goal, my job, is to get you to also fall in love with what I’ve painted. I sincerely have the best job in the world.
